Residents and visitors of The Galena Territory enjoy the natural sanctuary that serves as home for many species of wildlife. Amphibian
An amphibian lives part of its life as a water breathing creature and then grows into an air breathing creature. They include frogs, toads, and newts
Bird
Over 200 species of birds are known to frequent the area, either as residents or as migrants on their way to their final destination
Fish
Lake Galena has been stocked with several species of game fish
Insect
There are many hundreds of insect species in the area, with butterflies being the most colorful and recognizable
Mammal
There are over 40 species of mammals in the area ranging from common (squirrels, deer) to rare (fresh water otter, bobcat)
Reptile
Reptiles include lizards and snakes. Several reptile species are in the area but are rarely observed.
